I’m devoted to painting, drawing, conservation, and to studying art and the natural world. I started drawing at a very young age and have always been influenced by nature and wildlife. My art education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from California State University Northridge and an Associate of Science degree in Commercial Art from Cuyamaca College in Rancho San Diego, California. I’m inspired by the colors and shapes created within nature and incorporate them into my paintings.
Inspiration for this piece comes from the beautiful beaches in Central California. Like actors in a play, each rock is unique.
For this piece, I was inspired by some lovely house finches that were gathered together by a creek bed. This little finch had a particularly sassy look, which I couldn't resist.
"In-Between" is based on a close up of a polished slab of Blue Opalized Petrified Wood. Opalized Petrified Wood is also known as Wood Opal.
Rocks tell stories. Everyone and everything that passes by leaves an imprint.
