The 2026 Pastel Society of Colorado Paint-Along Series is hosted on the 4th Saturday of each month (January–October) from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM MST on Zoom. When permitted by the artist, recordings will be made available to registered participants for later viewing. Please note that recording availability varies by artist, and PSC will fully respect each artist’s preferences.

FEBRUARY 2026 ZOOM PAINT-ALONG

Going for Feel 
with Mark Ivan Cole 

February’s PSC Paint-Along takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM MST and features Mark Ivan Cole. This paint-along will be recorded, with access provided to paid registrants following the event. 

Lesson Overview 
What emotions arise when you see a particular image? We’ll paint a mountain scene with the intention of getting as close to the emotional impact as possible. 

Skill Level 
Mixed / All Levels 

What You’ll Work On 
Participants will focus on letting color, value, and mark-making do the work of conveying emotion. Rule number one: have fun! 

Mark Cole

About the Artist 
Mark Ivan Cole is an avid artist and adventurer. His pastel paintings focus on emotional landscapes based on and inspired by his explorations, as well as works created entirely from imagination. Cole was juried in as a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America in 2019 and achieved Master Circle status with the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) in 2025. His paintings have received top honors in local, regional, and international shows. When not painting or drawing, he composes and records music and writes fiction, poetry, and prose.
