September Western Slope Meeting & Demo

At the meeting, we’ll be having a creative mixed-media paint-along. We’ll provide paper and other miscellaneous supplies. Artists need to bring a small amount of pastels and pastel pencils if you have them. Bring a variety of warm and cool colors and darks and lights.
 
Demo Artist: Bev Lee PSA, PSCM, IAPSMC
Bev is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, Master Signature member of the Pastel Society of Colorado, and Master Circle artist with the International Association of Pastel Societies. Light and color are the inspirations for her painterly realistic pastels.

Childe Hassam, Mary Cassatt, and the Wyeths are a few artists that have been influential for Bev. Her self portrait, “Unraveled,” received the Art Spirit Foundation Bernhard Gold Medal Award in the 2020 Pastel Society of America Award. Along with winning other numerous national awards, her works have been featured in The Artist Magazine, Pastel Journal including a cover feature and three inclusions in the top 100 competitions, Sketchbook Confidential, and “Pure Pastel II,” through North Light Books/FW Publications. Bev is the author of Painting Children, Secrets to Capturing Childhood Moments, also through North Light Books.
