Pat Sebern

Pat Sebern has lived in Denver, Seattle, Dallas and Loveland, CO.  While in these locations the job descriptions were many and varied…but always involved artwork and design.

During her years in Denver, Pat was primarily involved in Western art, especially when it featured such subjects as mountain men and black powder events.

Accepting a job in Seattle, her painting focus changed to wildlife and landscapes. That same subject matter continued in Dallas years later.

Through all her jobs and transitions in creative projects, she has worked in several media…watercolor, gouache and large canvas murals painted with acrylics.  However, her two favorite medias are oil and pastel.

She also feels that the gift of creativity is one of the most inspiring, versatile, and satisfying talents a person is fortunate enough to have.

Ten years ago, Pat retired and moved back to Colorado from Texas.  She is currently exploring new opportunities to paint, becoming affiliated with inspiring groups of artists, and enjoying the beautiful scenery that Colorado has in abundance.

Guanella Pass is up above Georgetown and is a beautiful place to visit in the summertime. A lake, creeks winding through the trees and a wide variety of foliage make the area an ideal place to take photographs and a wonderful place to set up and paint.

Walking down a street in Aspen, I was enchanted to see flower boxes and planters bursting with blooms of all colors! The sun was playing with shadows and reflections on large windows, and the entire scene was really inspiring!

There are many well-worn paths in the forest at Guanella Pass. If you are lucky enough to be there on a day when the sun is streaming through the trees, you will have a difficult time deciding where to set up your easel.

Hallett Peak is especially recognizable from many directions in Rocky Mountain National Park. One of the most beautiful scenes is from Nymph Lake with all of the lily pads in bloom.
