THE SOUL OF COLOR:
2025 Members Show
Awards Judge: Colleen Howe Cheney

We are delighted to have Ms. Cheney join us in Grand Junction for our 2025 PSC Members’ Show, “The Soul of Color” – celebrating the beauty of pastels and the wonderful work of our member artists.
Colleen Howe Cheney was born in American Fork, Utah. She grew up on a cattle ranch in southwestern Montana and thrived on living the western lifestyle. The beauty of the Big Hole mountains and meadows influenced her decision towards becoming an artist. She majored in painting and drawing at Brigham University and the University of Utah. She also studied painting with Michael Workman and T Allan Lawson. Colleen has spent 25 years teaching landscape painting across the United States and her work has been featured in Artists’ Magazine, Pastel Journal, and American Artists magazine. Colleen has lived in both Utah and Montana, currently residing in Dillon, Montana where, in 2015, she opened an art gallery called Tendoy Fine Art. She lives and works at her studio in Dillon, and still enjoys teaching painting classes at her gallery.
